Instructions about how to connect your WABA number.
What you need
IMPORTANT: Before performing any steps, read the entire guide carefully. Any mistake or incorrect step could block access to WhatsApp Business.
Make sure you have the following:
Access to Facebook.
A phone number that is not currently connected to WhatsApp.
Does WhatsApp or Facebook have any costs?
The only costs apply when sending templates (message templates) to your customers, meaning when you initiate a conversation with them. That is, when your company sends a message to a customer and they have not replied yet.
If your goal is to respond to customer inquiries and answer questions, there is no additional cost.
Recommended: link a payment method
Even if you do not expect extra costs, it is recommended to link a payment method (such as a virtual card) to speed up account validation.
You can use a prepaid card to avoid unexpected charges.
1. Activate your Business account
First, you need to activate your account at business.facebook.com using your Facebook credentials.
If you do not have a Meta Business account, you must create one by clicking Create new portfolio.
In this section, fill in all the required company information requested by Facebook. The more information you provide, the easier it will be for Meta to verify your account.
Do not invent or falsify information. If you do, your access may be blocked.
2. Activate your WhatsApp Business account
Once your Meta Business account is active, you can register your WhatsApp Business account and link a phone number.
To activate it, follow these steps:
Go to: https://business.facebook.com/latest/settings/whatsapp_account
In the accounts section, click Add.
Fill in all your company information.
IMPORTANT: When selecting the services offered, choose Professional Services. This helps avoid blocks from Meta due to invalid service selections.
Although the process is fast, validation may take 5–10 minutes.
2.1 Link your phone number
Once your WhatsApp Business account is active, you can select it and add contact phone numbers.
IMPORTANT: As with the WhatsApp Business account setup, select Professional Services as the service type.
To verify ownership of the phone number, you will receive an SMS or a call. Make sure you can receive calls or SMS on that number.
Once completed, write down the Phone Number ID.
2.2 Add the display name
The display name is the name customers will see when they message your number. Try to use your company name or something closely related.

Basic recommendations:
Do not use all uppercase letters.
Do not use names unrelated to your business.
Follow proper spelling and grammar rules.
These first three points are mandatory. If they are not followed, the name will be rejected and you will not be able to use the number.
Once approved, you will receive an email confirming that the name has been accepted.
3. Register in Meta Developers
This is the most complex step, and here’s why:
For the agent and your customers to send and receive messages, you must be registered in Meta Developers, since Meta’s Graph API is used to send and receive messages from platforms like Aizy.
Below is a brief explanation of what you need to do.
3.1 Create an application
Go to
developers.facebook.comand sign up.Navigate to Apps and click Create App.
The app will remain in Development mode for now. Do not change this until the process is complete.
In the app, go to App Settings > Basic and fill in the required information.
In this section, you will find the App Secret. Save it securely for later use.
One critical requirement is providing a URL where your company’s privacy policy can be reviewed. Without it, the app cannot be activated.
In the Business Portfolio section, select your Meta Business account.
3.2 Add WhatsApp access
This step enables WhatsApp access for your app so it can send and receive messages.
In the left menu, go to Products.
Click Add product, find WhatsApp, and add it.
After adding WhatsApp, a product called Webhooks will appear.
Webhooks allow communication between systems to send and receive messages.
In Webhooks > Configure a webhook, fill in the Callback URL with the webhook provided by Aizy in the Webhook URL field.
Subscribed events: select
messages.Verify token: enter a number or password used to verify ownership of the app. This value must be exactly the same in both:
The app’s Verify token
Aizy > Channels > WhatsApp > Verify token
3.3 Create the System User
Next, you need to create a System User. This user will act as the administrator and provide the security token that connects your app with your WhatsApp number.
Go to: https://business.facebook.com/latest/settings/system_users
Click Add (top right).
Enter a name, for example:
My Company API.Select Administrator as the role.
Once created, assign full control to the following services:
Facebook Business
WhatsApp Business
App
Generate the token following the provided steps. Select a non-expiring token if you do not want to manage renewals. Store this token securely.
4. Add the information in Aizy
Go to Aizy Dashboard > Channels > WhatsApp and fill in all required fields:
Phone number: the phone number registered with WhatsApp (e.g., 34600111222).
Business Account ID: your Business Account ID.
Phone number ID: your WhatsApp Phone Number ID.
App secret: the App Secret from Meta Developers (App Settings > Basic).
Access token: the token generated for the System User.
Verify token: the code defined in the Meta Developers app Webhooks section.
Click Save WhatsApp.
4.1 Registration with Aizy
Register phone number
Enter the 6-digit verification code and click Register number. This completes the registration of your WhatsApp Business number.
Subscribe App to WABA
The WhatsApp Business Account ID field must match the Business Account ID field above.
This step links your Meta Developer app to your WhatsApp Business account and enables message reception. Click Subscribe app.
4.2 Checks
Check number status
This section checks the status of your WhatsApp number. The Phone number ID field must match the value shown above.
When you click Check status, it should return information such as:
Status
Quality
WhatsApp name
Phone number
Example:
CONNECTED | UNKNOWN | Your Name | +34 600 111 222
For new numbers, quality may appear as unknown, which is normal.
